I have managed to access the dreambox over the net. Cause was netgear remote connection was on port 8080 which was conflicting with dreambox.

When i connect to the dreambox select zap followed by the channel and then click on vlc. Downloads the *.m3u and starts it up in vlc.

Problem now is that its picking up my local ip and not my static ip?

Would appreciate if someone can help.

Thanks

dude, the stream on the dreambox page you are talking about does not have a chance to work over the internet cos it is so high in bandwidth your upload speed will not be able to handle it. U need to download something like dreamview and compress the stream and then stream it over vlc. vlc can also compress and restream i think but the settings are slightly more complicated than using dreamview.
