I have managed to access the dreambox over the net. Cause was netgear remote connection was on port 8080 which was conflicting with dreambox.
When i connect to the dreambox select zap followed by the channel and then click on vlc. Downloads the *.m3u and starts it up in vlc. Problem now is that its picking up my local ip and not my static ip? Would appreciate if someone can help. Thanks |

dude, the stream on the dreambox page you are talking about does not have a chance to work over the internet cos it is so high in bandwidth your upload speed will not be able to handle it. U need to download something like dreamview and compress the stream and then stream it over vlc. vlc can also compress and restream i think but the settings are slightly more complicated than using dreamview.
