I was searching some dutch Satelite forums and found a message about the Canaaldigtaal card. In Q2 2009 they will change the card from a MediaGuard 2 card to a MediaGuard 3 card.

This means it will change to Merlin / Seca 3 coding. My question about this is: What effect will this have on cardsharing the Canaaldigital card? Does the Dreambox already have a Cam that will support this coding?

(CCcam doesn't support this one i think).

Does this mean that this is the end of the Canaaldigitaal (Dutch / Belgium) channels next year on the DM8000?
I just wanted to buy a nice DM8000 when available... but if we can't use any emulator anymore... what purpose does the DM8000 have for me then? And can't MediaGuard 3 be shared?

i think its other than d+ maybe 2 cryptsystem one 1 card

The Caid is still the same.

I tested personaly the new card, the prov id and caid is still the same.


i tryed them whit cccam on Dm500 800 7000 7020 and 7025.
On all this receivers is the card running correct.

The only problem, i couldn't read them on a cccam installed on a I386 system.
To activate the merlin, is not posibel, beceause there is no specific box for those providers.
When the providers gonna do this, many people need to buy a new receiver.
This means, the providers gonna lose many clients.

We need to still wait about the further change,
whit my results i am sure the sharing in the future is posibel
